Lexi LyleCommunity Outreach Coordinator

As the Community Outreach Coordinator for Cancer Support Community Southwest Colorado, Lexi is dedicated to fostering connections and support within our community. With a passion for advocacy and a commitment to enhancing the lives of those experiencing cancer, Lexi strives to ensure that our programs and resources reach those who need them in rural Southwest Colorado.

After spending time abroad volunteering in rehab centers, community farms, hospitals, leprosy colonies, orphanages, and after-school programs she recognized the power of community and the necessity of creating spaces for people who feel isolated or alone. She graduated with a degree in Political Science and International Affairs from Texas State University where her passion for localized community engagement and actionable change took root. Lexi then gained skillsets in the nonprofit sector as well as legislatively while working on Capitol Hill where she leveraged community utreach and stakeholder relationships to the benefit of the constituents or communities she served.

Through her experiences both personally and professionally a common thread consistently grew apparent— her passion for cultivating spaces where people knew they did not have to endure illness, grief, joy, the highs and lows of human-hood—alone or isolated.
