Daryl has recently retired after more than 40 years working in the oil and gas industry. Daryl, a North Dakota native, graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in civil engineering. Over the years he has gained experience in project planning, budgeting, finance, and management. Daryl is an avid outdoors person, and in his free time he enjoys road and mountain biking, skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking the great trails around Durango.

Daryl has experienced firsthand the impact of this disease by losing his wife to cancer over 20 years ago. Since then,  he has fought to find a cure by actively participating in Relay for Life (Team Captain), Race for the Cure, and the Courage Classic.
